As the logistics and supply chain industry - including Bentley Compton - looks forward to Multimodal 2024 this summer, organisers have announced which businesses have been nominated as Finalists for the prestigious Multimodal Awards.
The Bentley Compton team is thrilled to see its joint entry, created in partnership with Genesee & Wyoming, detailing a collaborative multi-million-pound project which saw Bentley Compton integrate G&W’s rail, terminal and road transport systems into one technology-led logistics offering, has reached the finals in the Technology Company of the Year category.
Zig Bentley said: “I speak for the whole team when I say we’re over the moon to be shortlisted for this year’s Multimodal Awards, for our work in partnership with G&W. The project was one of a kind, it had never been done before, and it saw us work to transform G&W’s operations in order to achieve an average of 30-minute gate-to-gate turnaround time at all G&W facilities. To be recognised for this is testament to the entire team’s expertise and dedication to delivering the best.”
Taking place from 11th –13th June at Birmingham’s NEC, halfway through the Multimodal Conference, the Multimodal Awards are billed as an independent endorsement for excellence across supply chain businesses and individuals, which ensures all sizes of businesses are represented, supported by an industry-leading voting system. This makes the Awards one of the fairest in the sector.
Event Director Robert Jervis commented: “The Multimodal Awards have always been popular so opening the nomination process early allowed even more of the sector to make their nominations. We make sure all sizes of businesses are represented and use an independent nomination and voting system to ensure that all those shortlisted can be proud of their nomination. The Awards are the highlight of Multimodal, allowing the industry to come together and celebrate outstanding performance across several sectors.”
